Training

Envirico deliver a variety of different training programmes to suit our client’s needs. This year has been unique, and we have need to be innovative and flexible with our training approaches in 2020 in order to overcome the challenges faced due to Covid-19. We are proud to say that we have successfully completed both large and small-scale training programmes, despite the challenges faced by everyone this year, and we would like to thank all who participated.

Community Training: We have successfully delivered Community Training to various groups along the River Suir, on behalf of South Tipperary CLG, and the River Nore, as part of the Nore Vision. Our courses have been instrumental in piloting a Water Quality Monitoring Citizen Science initiative and have helped to gather the first data as part of this scheme.

Biosecurity Training: Envirico have created the first Certified course in Ireland that trains participants in maintaining the highest Biosecurity standards. The aim is to prevent outdoor workers from unintentionally causing the spread of Invasive Alien Species, which can happen easily through moving of unclean equipment, plant and PPE from one area to another. The course has been accredited and certified by LANTRA.

Pesticide Training: We have our own in-house trainers to ensure that our operatives reach and maintain the highest standards of pesticide use. At Envirico, pesticide usage is minimised where-ever possible, and waste reduction, environmental safety and operator safety are prioritised at all times. We can Certify successful trainees in The Safe Use of Pesticides (PA1); Application of Pesticides using Hand-Held Equipment on Land (PA6); Application of Pesticides using Hand-Held Equipment near Water (PA6AW); Operating Minimum Calibration Equipment (PA6MC); and Safe Use of Stem Injection Equipment (PA6INJ).
